Women's golf season ends at Benedictine Invitational

WEST CHICAGO, Ill. - The Edgewood College women's golf team wrapped up their 2009-10 season finishing in third place at the Benedictine University Spring Invitational at St. Andrews Golf Course. The Eagles shot identical 397 scores on both days of the tournament to finish with a two-day total of 794.

Emilee Guderyon shot the lowest single round of the tournament for the Eagles with a 93 on Saturday and finished with the team's lowest two-day total of 188, good enough for fifth place. Teammate Amanda Bliske was right behind her in sixth place with a score of 192. Mary Moore turned in two sub-100 rounds to place eighth with a two-day score of 196, while Stephanie Leahan completed the Eagles' team with a 218.

Concordia University Wisconsin won the event with a team score of 764, beating out the host Benedictine team who finished at 782. Muriel McIntyre was the individual medalist with a score of 77-82-159.
