MONMOUTH, Ill. - The Edgewood College women's golf team shaved eight strokes off their previous day's performance and placed 13th at the Monmouth College Invitational. The Eagles shot an 18-hole total of 413, improving on yesterday's score of 421 at the Knox College Invitational.
The Eagles were again led by freshman Emilee Guderyon and sophomore Amanda Bliske. Today it was Guderyon turning in the team's lowest score with a 90 after scoring 41 on the front nine, capturing 21st place. Like Guderyon, Bliske found the back nine more difficult, finishing with 91 after shooting 42 on going out at Gibson Woods Golf Course. Mary Moore shot a 112 and Stephanie Leahan completed the squad with a score of 120.
Edgewood College will host their only home meet of the year next Wednesday. The Eagles will welcome Marian University and Concordia University Wisconsin to Winwood Golf Course in Watertown for a three-team meet.
