GALESBURG, Ill. - The Edgewood College women's golf team completed their first of two weekend 18-hole events, placing 12th at the Knox College Invitational on Friday. The Eagles will travel just down the road to play the Monmouth College Invitational on Saturday.

Sophomore Amanda Bliske shot a 44 on the back nine at the Soangetaha Country Club to finish with a team-high 93. Her score landed her in 22nd place out of 75 competitors. Just one shot behind was freshman Emilee Guderyon who placed 27th with a round of 94. Mary Moore tallied a 114 and Stephanie Leahan shot a 116 to complete the Eagles round of 421.

Maryville University won the 14-team event with a score of 329. The Eagles tee off Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the Gibson Woods Golf Course in Monmouth, Ill.
