TUCSON, Ariz. – The Edgewood College softball team picked up its second straight win, a big one over UW-La Crosse following Colleen Joyce's game-winning single in the bottom of the seventh, scoring Leslie Osman for the 5-4 victory in Tucson on Tuesday.

Call it the luck of the Irish on St. Patty's Day or just late-inning heroics from Colleen Joyce. The junior came through in a big way with her only hit of the day, a one out single to drive in Leslie Osman, who started the rally with a single of her own, in the bottom of the seventh. In a battle of Eagles, Edgewood College defeated UW-La Crosse (7-4) of the WIAC to move to 2-3 on the year.

Osman led the way with a 3-for-4 effort at the plate which included two runs scored and an RBI as well. Emily Monson, hitting in the two-hole, also got into the act with a pair of singles.

Edgewood College (2-4) fell to Schreiner University later in the day by a score of 9-0. They'll face Wesleyan University (Conn.) and Augsburg on Wednesday.
