Eagles finish second at Lakeland Invite

VALDERS, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's golf team completed its second consecutive second place finish under ideal conditions at the Lakeland College Invitational on Sunday.

Amanda Bliske (193) led the way once again by finishing in a three-way tie for second place overall thanks to a second round score of 88. She made it back-to-back top-5 finishes as well.

Ashley Southern turned in her second top-10 finish of the season after a two-round score of 207 was good enough for seventh place. Erin Schaefer (213) just missed the top-10 with an 11th place finish while Stephanie Leahan (237, 16th) and Lorraine Heim (277, 26th) rounded out the five competing athletes for the Eagles.

Edgewood College will head south to Decatur, Ill. next weekend to take part in the Red Tail Run Fall Classic hosted by Millikin University. It will be the final tune-up before the NAC Women's Golf Championships which the Eagles will host in Janesville, Wis.
