FORT MYERS, Fla. (Mar. 20, 2008) -- Edgewood College completed their spring break trip to Florida at the Gene Cusic Classic, defeating Fitchburg State (Mass.) 8-7 before falling 5-2 to Keene State (N.H.) to conclude the trip.

In the early game, Edgewood College scored the game winning run in the bottom of the seventh to sneak out the 8-7 win over the Falcons.  The Eagles finish the Florida trip with a 5-5 record. Fitchburg State is now 1-6 while the Owls of Keene State are now 7-1. Complete stats and details will be posted as soon as they become available.

Edgewood College returns to the diamond on Wednesday, March 26 for a doubleheader versus Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wis.  to open up conference play. The Eagles first home game is a doubleheader against Maranatha Baptist on Saturday, March 29 at Ceniti Park in Verona.
