MILWAUKEE – Edgewood University senior Sophia Perret has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Thursday morning.  

Perret claimed an 8-2 record in the Eagles opening two weeks of action. The senior went 4-1 in singles action, including a perfect 3-0 against conference opponents. Perrett added a 4-1 mark in doubles play, which again included a 3-0 mark against NACC opponents. Against Loras, Perrett claimed a convincing 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles. In the first two weeks, Perrett has only dropped two sets in singles play.

Perret and the Eagles will travel to Concordia University Chicago on Saturday, September 19. Action is set for 10:00 a.m. from River Forest, Ill.
