Eagles Women's Soccer Preview

After a trip to the NACC Tournament Semifinal last season, Women's Soccer enters a new era in 2026 under head coach Jon Gulrajani after Derek Helmer concluded a successful tenure and stepped away from the program. The Eagles have their eyes set for new heights in a competitive NACC.

“I’ve been really pleased with the effort, attitude and positivity this group has shown to start preseason," said Gulrajani. "For the players adjusting to a new head coach, I’m excited about the progress we’re making as we learn new things, adapt on the fly and continue to get comfortable with one another.”

2026 Women's Soccer Schedule

Edgewood University kicks off the 2026 campaign on the road, taking on Carthage College on Tuesday, Spetember 1 before battling with UW-Stout on Friday, September 4. The Eagles return home to roost for four of their next five games, beginning with Central on Wednesday, September 9. After opening their NACC slate on the road at Lakeland on Wednesday, September 16, Edgewood University hosts Aurora on Saturday, September 19 for their conference home opener.

A rematch of last year's NACC Tournament Semifinal awaits at Reddan on Wednesday, September 23 as the Eagles host MSOE. A pair of road games will feature a pair of teams featured in the preseason Division III United Soccer Coaches Poll, as Edgewood University takes on defending NACC Champion Illinois Tech Saturday, September 26 before battling with receiving votes UW-La Crosse on Wednesday, September 30. After playing five of their next six at home, including a NACC Quarterfinal rematch against Marian on Wednesday, October 14 and Youth Night against Beloit on Monday, October 19, the Eagles will hit the road to wrap up their regular season for their last three games. 

After concluding the season at Wisconsin Lutheran on Wednesday, October 28, Edgewood University will turn their attention to the NACC Tournament beginning on Saturday, October 31.

“We’re really looking forward to the challenge ahead of this season," said Gulrajani. “We graduated several key seniors last year, but we have a strong returning group along with seven new freshmen who have brought great energy to the team."

Jon Gulrajani enters 2026 as the new head coach of Edgewood University Women's Soccer. He has seen success at multiple schools, including at UW-Madison where he served as assistant coach since 2017 and helped them to four NCAA Tournament berths. He also helped UW-Milwaukee to two NCAA appearances, a Horizon League regular season crown, and a Horizon League Tournament trophy. He also played a key part at UW-Oshkosh as they went on their deepest NCAA Tournament run in school history.
My message to the team has been simple: put the work in each day, continue to improve every session, and keep supporting one another. We’re still learning a lot about this team and about how much we can accomplish together, but I really like the direction we’re heading.

By the Numbers

10 - The Eagles bring in 10 new players as they look to reach for greater heights.

3 - Madeline Brown posted three shutouts against NACC foes last year. The goalkeeper earned an All-NACC Honorable Mention nod, posting 43 saves and a .843 save percentage overall.

.90 - Edgewood University held opponents to .90 goals per game, second in the NACC.

1 - The Eagles won their first NACC Tournament game since 2014 last season.

15 - Edgewood University's 15 wins last year were the most since the 2013 season.
