MILWAUKEE – The Edgewood University women's lacrosse program was represented in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference women's lacrosse awards, announced by the league office Thursday. Five Eagles were recognized as Milli Shell was named Freshman of the Year and Second Team All-NACC, Hollen Thompson and Christina Eloe claimed First Team All-NACC honors, and Bella Braun and Lauryn Brown were named Honorable Mention All-NACC.

Shell is the first in Edgewood University women's lacrosse history to be named NACC Freshman of the Year. The midfielder did a bit of everything for the Eagles, scoring 27 goals, dishing out 10 assists, collecting 51 draw controls and picking up 16 ground balls. In conference play, Shell scored 21 times and added five assists. She owned five multi-goal games against conference opponents, including a career-best five goals in a win over MSOE.

Eloe led the Eagles attack with 40 goals on the season. The senior totaled 83 ground balls, 72 draw controls, and 39 caused turnovers. In conference play, Eloe owned 24 goals and seven assists. Eloe ranked 10th in the conference in goals per game across all conference contests with 2.67. The senior leaves the program with the career-record for draw controls (283), ground balls (245), and caused turnovers (111).

Thompson was a defensive force for Edgewood University in her first season. The freshman led the Eagles with 22 caused turnovers and added 33 ground balls. In conference play, Thompson ranked ninth among conference opponents in caused turnovers per game at 2.44. The freshman caused a career-best six turnovers in a win over Marian.

In her first season in net for the Eagles, Braun totaled 109 saves. The junior posted a 48.1 save percentage in conference play and owned a 6-3 record in the conference part of the season. Braun's goals against average in conference play of 7.44 was fourth best in the NACC. Against Lake Forest, Braun recorded a career-best 13 saves. She added 10 or more saves against four conference opponents.

In her junior campaign, Brown did a bit of everything for the Eagles. Brown totaled 23 goals, dished out two assists collected 26 draw controls, collected 37 ground balls, and caused 22 turnovers. Against conference opponents, Brown was third on the Eagles with 15 goals and 14 caused turnovers. Against Beloit, Brown totaled five goals caused three turnovers and picked up three ground balls.
Lake Forest College secured three major awards, including Midfielder of the Year – Shannon Gibbons, Goalkeeper of the Year – Cecilia Adams, and Coaching Staff of the Year – Head Coach Casey Ryan. Aurora University claimed two major awards, as Nicolina Smith was named Attacker of the Year and Alle Pope claimed Defender of the Year.
