WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Edgewood University track & field team competed at the Drake Alternative Meet, hosted by UW-Whitewater on Saturday. Kylee Doherty led the women's side, with a win and school record in the Javelin throw. Nick Pacubas represented men's track & field in the 800 meter run.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Doherty claimed victory in the Javelin throw on Saturday with a school record and personal best mark of 44.21 meters. Keilley Riddle added a sixth place personal-best mark of 30.83 meters.
- Doherty added a second place finish in the Discus throw. The senior recorded a mark of 43.95 meters. Riddle finished 18th in the event with a mark of 33.15. Allison Foley rounded out the Eagles in the event with a 14.77 meter throw.
- Another top-10 finish came for Doherty I the Shot Put. Doherty finished eighth with a mark of 12.59 meters. Riddle (8.82 meters) and Foley (7.52 meters) also competed in the event.
- Pacubas competed in the 800-meter run on Saturday. He finished in 22nd place with a time of 2:14.18.
- Ellie Lill posted a pair of PR performances on Saturday. Lill opened the day with a PR time of 18.19 (1.3) to finish 12th in the 100-meter hurdles prelims. She finished the day with a personal best time of 29.77 (0.2) in the 200 meter dash.
- Cadence Trimberger ran a PR time of 13.80 (0.2) in the 100 meter dash prelims. She rounded out her Saturday with a time of 29.14 in the 200 meter dash.
UP NEXT
- Edgewood University will compete at the NACC Outdoor Championships on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2. Action will take place from Raabe Stadium in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
