LA CROSSE, Wis. – Kylee Doherty will compete Thursday and Saturday at the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex, hosted by UW-La Crosse. Doherty is set to compete in the discus throw on Thursday, followed by the javelin throw on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
On Thursday, May 23, 2024, Kylee Doherty became the first Track & Field All-American in Edgewood University history. On Thursday, May 22, 2025, Doherty became a two-time All-American in discus. This week, Doherty has the chance to join an elite list of Edgewood University student-athletes in becoming a three-time All-American.
For the second-straight year, Doherty has qualified for the discus throw and javelin throw at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Doherty qualified 20th in the country in the discus throw with a mark of 45.17 meters, which she set while winning the event at the NACC Championships. The senior qualified fifth in the nation in the javelin throw. Doherty's school record mark of 44.21 meters was set when she won the event at the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative Meet.
Spirits are high for Doherty, as she looks to conclude a fantastic career on the biggest stage. Doherty thanks her family, coaches, and teammates when reflecting on her career, "I have loved all my teammates; shout out to all of them, they have gotten me this far with keeping my head held high and keeping me positive. My coaches have become such a huge part of my life, day in and day out, and I couldn't be at Nationals or still competing without them." Come Saturday, Doherty will look to trust her training and lean on her support systems to achieve her goals on the national stage.
Doherty, who graduated Summa cum laude from Edgewood University on Saturday, May 16, has achieved great success across her four collegiate years. Conference Champion, School Record Holder, National Qualifier, All-American, Edgewood University Graduate. She will compete Thursday and Saturday to try and add another accolade to her impressive list of accomplishments as an Edgewood University Eagle.
