Preview: Eagles Host NACC Women’s Lacrosse Tournament Quarterfinal

VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood University women's lacrosse team earned the third seed in the conference postseason and will host Cornell College in the NACC Tournament Quarterfinal. EdgewoodEagles.com gets you prepared for Saturday's league tournament matchup.

2026 NACC WOMEN'S LACROSSE TOURNAMENT PAGE

HOW THEY GOT HERE
- The Eagles claimed their spot in the NACC Tournament via a confident 13-7 win at Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday, April 18. Milli Shell and Christina Eloe each scored four times and collected five draw controls in the conference victory. Shell dished out a team-high two assists. Eloe, Kailey Smith, Hollen Thompson, Kamryn Ibinger, Paige Janicki, and Malak Daoud each caused two turnovers. Bella Braun led the Eagles in net with 11 saves.

- The Eagles finish the NACC regular season with a 6-3 record. The Eagles opened conference play with three-straight wins over Illinois Tech, Lawrence, and Marian. After falling to Aurora and Lakeland, the Eagles got back on track with a 16-9 win over MSOE. Edgewood University rounded out the regular season with wins at Concordia Wisconsin and against Beloit.

- Cornell College finished 2026 with a 4-5 conference record. The Rams claimed conference wins over Lawrence, Beloit, Illinois Tech, and Edgewood University. Despite losing the final two contests of the regular season to Lake Forest and Aurora, the Rams were consistent enough in the heart of the conference season to claim the six seed in the tournament.

LAST MEETING
- Edgewood University and Cornell College last met on Thursday, April 16 in Mount Vernon, Iowa. The Rams claimed an 8-7 win over the Eagles. The Rams outscored the Eagles 5-4 in the second half of action to take home the win.

- Christina Eloe led the Eagles with four goals, four draw controls, five caused turnovers, and six ground balls in the loss. Bella Braun recorded five saves in net for the Eagles.

- Ava Ferencz led the Rams with three goals and two assists. She added four ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers. Natalie Hudgins caused four turnovers and collected four ground balls. Hannah Meich recorded six saves in net.

NACC TOURNAMENT HISTORY
- This is the fifth-straight trip to the NACC Tournament for the Edgewood University women's lacrosse program. In 2025, the Eagles hosted their second-straight NACC Tournament game and reached the NACC Tournament Final after upsetting Aurora University in overtime on the road in the NACC Tournament Semifinal. In year six, the Eagles earn the third seed in the NACC Tournament for the second-straight season and host the First Round NACC Tournament contest.

- This is the second trip to the NACC Tournament for Cornell College since joining the conference in the 2025 season. The Rams hosted MSOE in the First Round of the tournament in 2025 and fell 11-10 to the Raiders.

- No. 2 Aurora University owns an 8-1 record in the tournament all-time, with four tournament championships to their name. Top seeded Lake Forest College claimed the NACC Tournament Championship in 2025, their first year in the league. The Foresters look to claim back-to-back championships in 2026.
