ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Edgewood University track & field team competed at the Augustana Meet of Champions on Friday and Saturday. Tyler Mueller and Ayden Price claimed wins on the men's side, while Kylee Doherty posted a top-5 finish for women's track & field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tyler Mueller claimed the Eagles first win of the day on Saturday. Mueller won the 10,000 meter run with a time of 32:55.76. Mueller's time goes down as third fastest in school history and was 21 seconds clear of the second place finisher.
- Ayden Price claimed win number two for the Eagles, taking home the 400 meter. Price came across the finish line in 49.74, which ties the fifth fastest time in school history. Yitzak Tristan added a time of 59.40 in the event.
- Price added a fifth place finish in the 200-meter dash. The sophomore finished in 21.75 (1.8), which is third fastest in school history.
- Kylee Doherty placed fifth in the discus on Saturday. The senior posted a distance of 44.19 meters, which ties the eighth longest throw in school history. Keilley Riddle added a mark of 33.05 meters in the event.
- Ellie Lill represented the Eagles in the 100 meter hurdles prelims and 400 meter hurdles. Lill ran an 18.49 (4.9) in the 100 meter hurdles prelims. She added a time of 1:22.85 to finish 19th in the 400 hurdles.
- Price finished 10th in the long jump, posting a mark of 6.34 meters (5.1).
- Riddle was the lone Eagle competitor in the javelin, finishing 17th with a mark of 26.65 meters.
- Three Eagles competed in the shot put. Doherty led the trio with a mark of 11.57 meters to finish 16th. Riddle (8.31 meters) and Allison Foley (7.57 meters) also represented the Eagles in the event.
- Nick Pacubas competed in the 800-meter run for the Eagles. Pacubas came across the finish line in 2:14.84.

- Edgewood University will compete at the Drake Alternative Meet on Friday, April 24. Action will take place at Rex Foster Track in Whitewater, Wis.
