DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Edgewood University men's track & field team competed at the Spartans Shootout, hosted by the University of Dubuque on Saturday. Ayden Price claimed wins in the 60 meter dash and 400 meter dash, including a school record in the 400. Tyler Mueller added another win for the Eagles, this time in the 5000 meter run.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Price continued to dominate in the 60 meter distance for the Eagles. The sophomore opened with a 7.10 in the prelims to qualify third for the final. Price turned on the jets with a 6.93 time to claim the win. Yitzak Tristan also competed in the 60 meter dash prelims, finishing in 8.07.
- Price added his second win of the day in the 400 meter dash. The sophomore broke the school record time of Nicholas Lohr (50.48) from March 1, 2014. Price's time of 49.86 was his first 400 meter mark of the season.
- Tyler Mueller took home the win in the 5000 meter run on Saturday. Mueller ran a time of 16:14.12, which is good for eighth place on the Eagles honor roll list.
- Nick Pacubas competed in the 800 meter run for the Eagles. Pacubas came across the finish line in 2:21.12 to finish 18th.
- Mueller added a time of 4:42.06 in the Mile run on Saturday.
- Price rounded out his day in the long jump with a ninth place mark of 6.36 meters.
