RIPON, Wis. – The Edgewood University track & field team competed at the Dick Hendricks Invite, hosted by Ripon College on Saturday. Ayden Price led the way for the men's team, setting two school records, claiming a victory and posting three top-5 marks. Kylee Doherty posted a top-5 distance in the shot put, while Ellie Lill ran a personal-record.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Price continued his dominance in the 60 meter distance for the Eagles. The sophomore came across the finish line in 6.95 in the 60-meter dash prelims. Price broke his own indoor school record and set a PR in the finals with a winning time of 6.87. Yitzak Tristan competed in the prelims, finishing in 8.04.
- Price added a second place finish and school record mark of 22.23 in the 200-meter dash. Tristan came across in 25.71 to finish 37th.
- Kylee Doherty led the Eagles in the shot put. The senior's mark of 11.92 meters was good for fourth place. Keilley Riddle added a mark of 8.47 meters in the event to finish 27th.
- Price finished second in the long jump on Saturday. His third jump of 6.68 meters was his best mark of the day.
- Tyler Mueller and Nick Pacubas represented the Eagles in the Mile run on Saturday. Mueller finished sixth with a time of 4:31.72. Pacubas came across in 5:10.07.
- Doherty and Riddle competed in the weight throw finishing 20th and 21st, respectively. Doherty's best mark was 10.93 meters, while Riddle's best throw was 10.83 meters.
- Ellie Lill competed in the 60 meter dash prelims, finishing in 9.25. Lill's best event of the day was the 200 meter dash. Lill posted a personal-record time of 31.57.
- Pacubas added a time of 2:17.88 in the 800-meter run.
