RIPON, Wis. – The Edgewood University women's track & field team opened 2026 at the Red Hawk Opener, hosted by Ripon College. Kylee Doherty led the Eagles with a third place finish in the Shot Put.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Doherty posted a third-place finish in the Shot Put on Friday. Her distance of 12.47 meters is tied for eighth longest in program history. Keilley Riddle added a mark of 8.98 meters in the event, improving on her indoor honor roll mark.
- Doherty added a 10.09 meter throw in the weight throw on Friday.
- Isabella Pescador and Ellie Lill both competed in the 200-meter dash and 60-meter hurdles prelims on Friday evening. Pescador led the Eagles in the 200-meter dash with a mark of 33.19. Lill posted a time of 33.41 in the 200-meter dash. The pair came across the finish line in 11.49 (Pescador) and 12.60 (Lill) in the 60-meter hurdles prelims.

- Edgewood University will travel to UW-Parkside to compete in the Lake Michigan Open on Saturday, January 31. Action will take place from the Frank Petretti Fieldhouse in Kenosha, Wis.
