The Edgewood College softball team has been recognized on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Natalie Fields, Gracie Halfman, Olivia Hebert, Grace Ott and Camden Shepherd landed honors for their outstanding work in the classroom and play on the field.
Fields (Oak Creek, Wisconsin) a junior outfielder hit .274 in 2025. She recorded a perfect fielding percentage, recording 48 putouts in right field. Fields totaled 32 hits, 23 runs scored and stole 13 bases on the season. In the classroom, Fields owns a 4.00 GPA as a psychology and neuroscience double major. The sophomore has previously been named NACC Scholar-Athlete.
On the field, Halfman (Beaver Dam, Wisconsin) a junior outfielder recorded 27 hits and scored 22 runs. She recorded a .984 fielding percentage as the Eagles center fielder. Halfman stole 14 bases and was never caught stealing on the season. In the classroom, Halfman owns a 3.96 GPA as an elementary education major. The junior has claimed NACC Scholar-Athlete, Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete, and CSC Academic All-District honors in previous seasons.
Hebert (Middleton, Wisconsin), a senior catcher was a mainstay behind the plate for the Eagles in her final season. She earned her fourth First Team All-NACC honors in 2025. The senior led Edgewood College in 10 hitting categories. She hit .439 on the season with a 1.253 OPS, .772 slugging percentage and .481 on-base percentage. Hebert totaled 31 runs scored, 54 hits, 20 doubles, three triples, five home runs and 31 RBI. Behind the plate she caught 15 runners stealing and picked off seven runners. In the classroom, Hebert is a biology and environmental science double major carrying a 4.00 GPA. She has previously been named Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete, NACC Scholar-Athlete and CSC Academic All-District.
Ott (Stoughton, Wisconsin), a senior infielder was a key member of the Eagles lineup in 2025. The senior recorded 30 hits, which included five doubles and four home runs. Ott drove in 29 Eagles on the season. In the classroom, Ott carries a 3.61 GPA as a nursing major. She has been named Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete, NACC Scholar-Athlete, and CSC Academic All-District.
Shepherd (Mount Horeb, Wisconsin), a senior infielder finished the 2025 season with a .288 batting average. Shepherd totaled 21 hits, including four doubles and one triple. In the classroom, Shepherd is an exercise science major, carrying a 3.59 GPA. She has previously been named a NACC Scholar-Athlete.
