MILWAUKEE – The Edgewood College women's basketball team had two players recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) as announced by the conference office Wednesday. Vivian Guerrero was named Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-NACC, while Kallie Norby added Second Team All-NACC honors.

Guerrero was named Defensive Player of the Year for the second-straight season. The senior is the first in Edgewood College women's basketball to earn the award twice. Guerrero added First Team All-NACC recognition. The Lake Mills native led the conference in blocks averaging 1.7 per game and totaling 44. Guerrero also ranked first in the NACC with 251 total rebounds, averaging 9.7 per game. The senior ranks 20th among all Division III players in defensive rebounds per game (7.9). Guerrero led the Eagles with 11.8 points per game, shooting 46.4 percent from the floor, 67.7 percent from the free throw line, and 31.3 percent from three-point range. She added a team-best 62 assists on the season. Guerrero totaled 11 double-doubles on the season.

Norby picked up her second All-Conference recognition of her career. The Hales Corners native averaged 10.8 points per game, 5.2 rebounds per game and added 43 assists. Norby posted two double-doubles on the season. Norby recorded three games on the season scoring 22 or more points (North Central University, Alverno, Lakeland). 

Taylor Thiry of St. Norbert College was named Player of the Year. Krystyna Manzanarez of Aurora University collected Freshman of the Year honors. Amanda Leonhard-Perry and her staff from St. Norbert were named Coaching Staff of the Year.
