Box Score MADISON, WIS. – Women's Tennis returned to the friendly confines of the Powless Tennis Center Sunday. They took on the Ripon Red Hawks in non-conference action. The Eagles (15-7) got back on track with a 6-1 showing against the Red Hawks (4-19).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The tandems of
Evelyn Taylor/
Marissa Light and
Hattie Plenty/
Madelyn Connaughty clinched the doubles point for Edgewood College. Taylor/Light won 6-1 in top billing, while Plenty/Connaughty earned a 7-6 (7-2) victory in the second slot.

Christina Ekkela and
Sarah Emory teamed up for a 6-3 final in no. 3 doubles.
- The Eagles carried momentum into singles. Taylor claimed a 6-0, 6-1 tally in no. 1 singles, before Light pushed Edgewood College within striking distance of the match with a 7-5, 6-2 final in the second slot.
- Plenty clinched the match in no. 3 singles 6-1, 6-3. Connaughty kept things rolling 6-1, 7-5 in the fourth slot.
- Ekkela won 6-3, 6-3 in no. 5 singles. Emory wrapped up the match with a 6-2, 6-0 loss in the sixth slot.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Eagles have won three straight against Ripon.
- With the victory, Edgewood College matched their win total from the 2023-24 season.
