Box Score 2 ORLANDO, Fla. – Women's Tennis concluded their stay in Florida Thursday with a pair of nonconference affairs. They took on the Scranton Royals and the Western Connecticut State Wolves. The Royals (5-1) got the better of the Eagles (14-8) in a 4-3 heartbreaker, but Edgewood University bounced back with a 7-0 sweep of the Wolves (3-13).
MATCH ONE: SCRANTON 4, EDGEWOOD UNIVERSITY 3

Sophia Perret claimed a 7-6 (7-4) result in the second slot.

Kaitlyn Narkis won 6-3 in no. 3 doubles.
- While Taylor fell 6-2, 6-2 in top singles, Penty replied with a 5-7, 7-5, 1-0 (10-8) final in the second slot.
- Perret dropped a 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 final in the fourth slot. Narkis helped the Eagles bounce back with a 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-5) rally in the fourth slot.
- The Royals won marathons in the fifth and sixth slots for the victory. Ekkela conceded a 6-1, 1-6, 1-0 (11-9) result in the fifth slot, while Krober's comeback fell short in a 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 (15-13) final in sixth billing.
MATCH TWO: EDGEWOOD UNIVERSITY 7, WESTERN CONNECTICUT STATE 0

Baylee Knott/Narkis won 6-1 in third billing.
- Taylor blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0 in no. 1 singles. Perret had a strong showing in the second slot with a 6-1, 6-1 win.
- Krober and Knott kept Edgewood University hot in the middle slots. Krober won 6-2, 6-1 in no. 3 singles and Knott 6-1, 6-0 in no. 4 singles.
- Pacholke and
Sarah Emory finished the sweep strong with a 6-2, 6-0 result in no. 5 singles and a 6-0, 6-1 victory in no. 6 singles respectively.

The Eagles will take some time off before hitting the road on Friday, April 10. They'll take on Wartburg in Waverly, Iowa as they look to tune up for the NACC Tournament. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
