RIPON, Wis. – The Edgewood University women's track & field team opened the season at the Ripon Winter Open on Saturday. Ellie Lill made her debut for the Eagles in track & field, while two-time outdoor All-American Kylee Doherty claimed a third-place finish in the shot put.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Doherty posted a third-place finish in the shot put on Saturday. The senior posting a best mark of 12.13 meters in the event. Allison Foley joined Doherty in the event, finishing 22nd with a mark of 7.09 meters.
- Doherty also competed in the weight throw on Saturday. Her mark of 11.35 meters good for 11th place, overall.
- Isabella Pescador and Lill both competed in the 300-meter dash and 60-meter hurdles prelims on Saturday. Pescador posted a 14th place finish in both events, with a PR time of 53.63 in the 300-meter dash. Lill ran a 55.47 in the 300-meter dash. The freshman came across the finish line in 12.51 in the 60-meter hurdles prelims.

- Edgewood University will return to action on Friday, January 23 at the Red Hawk Opener. Action is set for 4:00 p.m. from Ripon, Wisconsin.
