The Edgewood University men's soccer team will open its NCAA Tournament run with a matchup against Gustavus Adolphus College Saturday afternoon. The Eagles and Gusties will meet at Edor Nelson Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota on the campus of Augsburg University.
TICKETS:
For fans traveling to Minnesota to watch the Eagles, tickets will be $11 for adults and $ for senior citizens and students. Tickets will be available online via the Hometown Ticketing app and will be cashless.

HOW THEY GOT HERE
- Both teams received at-large bids to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament after falling in their respective conference tournaments last week.
- Edgewood University entered Monday, November 10 as the No. 29 team in the NCAA Power Index (NPI) for Division III men's soccer.
- Gustavus Adolphus entered Monday, November 10 as the No. 20 team in the NCAA Power Index (NPI) for Division III men's soccer.
THE EAGLES
- Edgewood University owns a 15-2-2 record, that included a perfect 12-0 conference mark. The Eagles claimed back-to-back NACC Regular Season Titles in 2025.
- The Eagles owned a school-record 14-straight wins before falling to MSOE in the NACC Tournament Semifinal.
- Edgewood University outscored its opponents by a 60-8 margin, with its 60 goals tied for sixth-most in Division III. The Eagles own a 52-goal differential, which is second-best nationally, while their 0.44 GAA is fourth best.
- Connor Gage leads the Eagles with 26 points (11 goals, 4 assists).

THE GUSTIES
- Gustavus Adolphus owns a 14-5-1 record in 2025. The Gusties finished fourth in the MIAC with a 6-3-1 record.
- Gustavus opened the regular-season with three-straight wins over the University of Chicago (2-1), Pacific Lutheran University (2-0) and Carthage College (2-1). The Eagles and Gusties were set to meet back on Tuesday, September 9 but the game was canceled due to inclement weather and field conditions.
- The Gusties claimed four shutout victories in conference play, highlighted by a 2-0 win over Saint John's on Saturday, September 27 and a 3-0 win over Saint Mary's on Saturday, November 1.
- In the MIAC Tournament, the Gusties shut out Bethel 3-0 in the quarterfinals before falling to Macalester 2-1 in the semifinals.
- Joe Flory leads the Gusties with 34 points (14 goals, 6 assists). Flory's seven game-winning goals are second-best in Division III. Kieran Mahan is another leading scorer for Gustavus, owning 30 points (12 goals, 6 assists) on the season.
- Jackson Baker has appeared in nine games in net for the Gusties. He owns a record of 8-1-0, including three shutouts. Vikram Couto owns eight games in net for Gustavus, with a 3-2-1 record.
NCAA TOURNAMENT HISTORY
- Edgewood University is making its fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament, the last coming in 2005. In 2005, the Eagles were riding a seven-game win streak heading into the tournament. The Eagles defeated Concordia University Wisconsin 1-0 in the Lake Michigan Conference Tournament Final to earn the automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament.
- The 2025 Eagles men's soccer team is the first team to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament in school history.
- Gustavus Adolphus has appeared in 17 NCAA Division III National Tournaments and is 14-12-9 all-time in the tournament. The Gusties finished runner-up in 2005.
- The winner of Gustavus/Edgewood University will advance to the second round, where they would compete against the winner of Augsburg University/Occidental College on Sunday, November 16 at 1:00 p.m.
