Eagles Women's Soccer Preview

The Edgewood College Women's Soccer team is heading into the 2022 season full of excitement. Set for year four under head coach Derek Helmer, the Eagles return 16 players from last year's squad. Edgewood College will be led by seniors Kristen Palmer, Siobhan Gallagher, Trinity Burg, and Sierra Connell.

2022 Women's Soccer Schedule

The Eagles are set to play 19 contests throughout the fall season, beginning with a non-conference home game against UW-Platteville on Thursday, September 1. Edgewood College will play Cornell College, Ripon, Mount Mary, UW-Superior, and Beloit in non-conference action. Conference action will kick-off on Wednesday, September 14 vs MSOE. The Eagles will aim to make post-season play, as the NACC Women's Soccer Tournament which begins on Saturday, October 29.

Derek Helmer
Derek Helmer is in his fourth season leading the Edgewood College Women's Soccer program. In the 2021 season, Helmer coached one All-NACC Honorable Mention player in Siobhan Gallagher and added four wins.

By the Numbers

10 - The 2021 Eagles squad scored 27 goals, 10 of those goals were scored by players returning to the team in 2022.
