THE EAGLES
- The Eagles have won 14-straight NACC regular season games dating back to last season and have not lost a game against a NACC opponent in over a year (January 18, 2020).
- Last weekend, Edgewood College picked up a pair of wins at MSOE.
Bria Lemirande posted a 13-point, 13-rebound double-double in Friday's 65-54 win, while
Alyssa Lemirande added a double-double of her own in Saturday's 58-48 win with 18 points and rebounds. Early in the season, Alyssa ranks second in the NACC in points per game (16.2), while Bria is second in the conference in rebounding (10.2 per game).
- Edgewood College has been able to use the same starting lineup for most of the past two seasons. The Eagles have used the starting five of
Alyssa Lemirande,
Bria Lemirande,
Emma Klein,
Lexi Walter, and
Abby Shane four times this season and all five of those players started at least 26 games a season ago.
- The Eagles got it done defensively last weekend, holding MSOE to 51 points per game. The Raiders shot just 31.4 percent from the floor and the Eagles averaged 5.5 steals and 4.5 blocks per game. Edgewood College blocked eight shots in Saturday's win, two each Alyssa, Bria, Klein, and Shane.
MARIAN
- The Sabres got off to a strong start in the Kristen Rogers era with a pair of convincing wins over Alverno last weekend. Rogers was hired in May, joining Marian after serving as an assistant coach at Northwood University (Division II) since 2017.
- Marian won 65-40 on Friday night and then posted a 74-43 victory Saturday. They led the conference in both scoring and points allowed in last weekend's games.
- Claire Levendoski averaged 14 pints per game in last week's wins, while Paris Harris and Serina Pehowski chimed in with 13.5 and 12 points per game, respectively.
- The Eagles have won four-straight over Marian. The two schools met just once last season with Edgewood College rolling to a 69-36 win.
Alyssa Lemirande scored 13 points in the game, while
Parker Fetherston added 12 off the bench.
