NORMAL, Ill. – The Edgewood College men's golf team continues to show their consistency this spring. The Eagles shot two of their three lowest rounds of the season to place third in a stacked field at the Illinois Wesleyan University. All four Eagles competing shot in the 70s on Saturday, with Zach Hentrich and Dawson Hinz both earned top ten finishes individually.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Zach Hentrich and Dawson Hinz set the model of consistency with their two rounds. Hentrich shot a 75 on Friday and improved by two strokes on Saturday. Hinz had the opposite scores, shooting a team low 73 on Friday and a 75 on Saturday. At 148 for the weekend, Hentrich and Hinz tied for 10th overall.
- Alex Wedige turned in a 78, a three-shot improvement over Friday's round to finish with 159.
- Jensen Peck showed the largest improvement from day one to day two, firing a 77 on Saturday to finish with a two-day total of 161.
- Nathan Gilbert shot a 73 on Friday, but did not participate in Saturday's action.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Edgewood College's score of 605 was their lowest 36-hole team score this season. In fact, it was their lowest score since a 587 on October 4-5, 2015 when the Eagles won the MSOE Invitational at the Grand Geneva C.C.
UP NEXT
- Edgewood College will participate in next weekend's Augustana College Invitational. Friday's round will be at the Pinnacle C.C. in Milan, Ill. and Saturday's action will take place at Fyre Lake G.C. in Sherrard, Ill.
