HARTFORD, Wis. – The Edgewood University men's golf team competed at the WLC Fall Invitational on Sunday. The meet featured 18 teams and 36 holes of golf in one day. Edgewood University finished 13th in the meet with a 621 team score. The Eagles improved in round two, carding a 308 to finish the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brooks Luttinen led the Eagles with a 152 to finish in a tie for 31st place. Luttinen carded rounds of 78 and 74 on Sunday. In round one, the fifth year posted an eagle on hole three and a birdie on hole 17.
- Drew Gunderson carded a 153 to finish in a tie for 36th place. Gunderson improved by three strokes in round two to claim a 75 that featured three birdies and nine pars.
- Josh Potter rounded out Sunday with a 159 to finish in a tie for 65th place. Potter was consistent, recording rounds of 80 and 79 on Sunday. In round one, Potter carded four birdies and six pars. In round two, the junior recorded 12 pars and an eagle on hole 17.
- Noah Frederickson finished in a tie for 74th place, carding a 162. Frederickson's best round came first, carding a 77 that featured two birdies and 10 pars.
- Isaac Vogel rounded out the Eagles lineup with rounds of 90 and 80. Vogel finished in a tie for 91st place with a 170.
THE MEET
- Highland Community College claimed the team title, recording a six under par 570. In round one, Highland claimed an eight under par 280.
- Austin Dobbe of Highland Community College won medalist honors with a seven under par 137.
UP NEXT
- Edgewood University will compete at the Como Crossings 36 Hole Intercollegiate on Wednesday, September 23. Action will take place from Hawks View G.C. in Lake Geneva, Wis.
