ORLANDO, Fla. – The Edgewood College men's tennis team eared their first win on their spring trip with a 9-0 shutout of Curry College on Friday morning. Later in the day, the Eagles fell to Colby-Sawyer College 6-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College overwhelmed Curry College, winning all six singles matches in straight sets. Three Eagles, Brian Davenport at No. 2, Brandon Glock at No. 5 and Sabastion Seeger at No. 6 managed to only lose one game apiece.
- The closest match against the Colonels was an 8-6 victory at No. 3 doubles by Jacob Huntoon and Seeger over Curry's Zach Muller and Daniel Ritucci.
- Edgewood College held a 2-1 lead over Colby-Sawyer College after doubles play, but lost five of six singles matches.
- Davenport and Evan Stone needed a tiebreaker to win their No. 1 doubles match over CSC's Gustav Jigrup and Cass McCann 9-8 (7-4). Andrew Martinez and Glock claimed an 8-4 victory at No. 3 doubles.
- Davenport was the Eagles only singles winner, defeating McCann 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Davenport won his 51st singles match and his 44th doubles match to tie Austin Papenthien (2012-16) for the Edgewood College all-time wins record with 95 total victories.
