ORLANDO, Fla. – Men's Tennis wrapped up Spring Break action Thursday in Florida. They battled with the Scranton Royals and the Western Connecticut State Wolves in nonconference action. The Royals (5-6) got the better of the Eagles (6-10) 5-2, but Edgewood University bounced back with a 6-1 result against the Wolves (0-3).
MATCH ONE: SCRANTON 5, EDGEWOOD UNIVERSITY 2
- The Eagles had the winds at their back in doubles. While

Jon Olafsson in no. 2 doubles and a 6-3 victory from

William Faley in the third slot earned them the doubles point.
- The Royals struck back in singles. Olafsson fell 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 (11-9) in top billing and Hutchcroft 6-1, 6-2 in the second slot.
- Woytasik dropped a 6-1, 6-4 result in no. 3 singles. Hoffmann fell 6-1, 6-4 in the fourth slot.
- Casey shined in singles with a 6-2, 6-0 showing in fifth billing. Faley's comeback came up short in a 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-4) final in the sixth slot.
MATCH TWO: EDGEWOOD UNIVERSITY 6, WESTERN CONNECTICUT STATE 1
- The Eagles controlled doubles, setting the tone for the match. Olafsson/Casey won 6-2 in the second slot, while Woytasik/Faley cruised to a 6-1 victory in third singles.
- Hutchcroft/Hoffmann fell 6-2 in top billing.
- Edgewood University rolled early in singles. While Olfasson won 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-8) in top billing, Hutchcroft cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 final in the second slot.
- Woytasik and Hoffmann posted strong results, winning no. 3 singles 6-4, 6-4 and no. 4 6-1, 6-2 respectively.
- Casey continued his strong day with a 6-2, 6-0 victory in the fifth slot. Faley conceded a 6-1, 6-2 result in no. 6 singles.
