Career Statistics (through 2016-17)

2016-17: Named to the All-NACC singles team... Finished with 12-13 singles and 10-16 doubles record... One of four Eagle players with a NACC singles record of 7-1 or better, also finished 6-2 during NACC doubles... Primarily played at No. 3 and No. 4 singles and at No. 2 doubles... Won five of his last seven matches, including an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles with primary partner Sabastion Seeger in NACC first round victory over Wisconsin Lutheran... The pair played the last nine doubles matches of the season together... Named NACC men's tennis student-athlete of the week from Jan. 23-29... Finished eighth in school history with 24 overall wins.

2015-16: Named NACC Student-Athlete of the Week on two occasions... Posted an 8-15 record in singles play, including a 5-2 mark in NACC matches... Went 14-6 in doubles alongside Alex Hadjiev, including a perfect 8-0 showing in NACC play... Won 11 of 12 doubles matches spanning April 9-May 8, with the last being a 9-7 win in the NACC Tournament Championship match against second-seeded CUW.

High School: Earned a spot on the No. 3 doubles team as a senior... Earned a spot on the top-nine of his team in 2011.

Personal: Parents are Deborah and Victor Martinez... Won first place at the local and regional level in a Lego Robotics competition as a junior... Invovled in MESA Club... Volunteer assistant tennis coach at Brawley Union High School.
