HOW IT HAPPENED:
-The Eagles improved to 4-4 and 3-0 in the NACC thanks to stellar play throughout the singles lineup and a dominant performance in the doubles portion of the day. The lone loss came at No. 5 singles, where Sabrina Fuller lost a heartbreaker 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 12-10.
-Morgan Wilson won easily in her first set against Chloe Madison at No. 1 singles 6-2 but had to work for her second win, beating her opponent 7-5.
-Madeline George made an appearance for the first time since the opening weekend of play, beating her opponent 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
-Anna Miles took down Micaela Mascha 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, pushing her singles record vs. NACC opponents to 28-0.
-Wilson and Miles are now on a three-game winning streak at No. 1 doubles following an 8-6 victory over Chloe Madison and Micaela Mascha.
-Wilson now has 99 career wins (singles and doubles) after her pair of victories Saturday. Only Kelsey Steinhorst, Laura Olsen and Jessi Ditzler have cracked the 100-win mark in Edgewood College history.
FOR THE OPPONENTS:
-Haley Cooley was the lone Spartans player to record a victory on the day. She beat Fuller in comeback fashion by scores of 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 12-10.
UP NEXT: The Eagles will be off until Saturday, Sept. 19. They will square off against Marian University and Lakeland College in a home doubleheader starting at 10 am from Quann Park in Madison, Wis.
