MADISON, Wis. – The third-seeded Women's Tennis squad opened up NACC Tournament action at the Powless Tennis Center Monday. They squared off with the Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors, the six seed. The Eagles (15-10) advanced with an impressive 4-0 victory over the Warriors (3-8) in the NACC Tournament First Round.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- A 6-0 victory from
Evelyn Taylor and
Hattie Plenty in no. 1 doubles kicked things off in impressive fashion for Edgewood University.
Christina Ekkela and
Kaitlyn Narkis clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win in the third slot.
- The Eagles rolled in singles, winning their three singles points by 6-0, 6-0 margins.
Sophia Perret shined in the third slot, Ekkela soared in fourth billing, and
Lauryn Krober polished off an impressive showing in the sixth slot.

- Edgewood University has won 20 straight matches over Wisconsin Lutheran.

Edgewood University heads north for a NACC Tournament Semifinal showdown. They will head up to De Pere, Wis. to battle with the St. Norbert Green Knights, the no. 2 seed in the tournament. First serve is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
