Edgewood College vs. #19 UW-Stevens Point, Carroll University and #1 Augustana College (Ill.) preview (.pdf)MADISON, Wis. - The Edgewood College men's basketball team will get to see some of the best teams in the country before the year concludes, as the Eagles will take on two ranked teams and another undefeated team from the Midwest Conference over the next week and a half. The Eagles will host #19 UW-Stevens Point at 7 pm on Tuesday at the Edgedome before competing in the Just A Game Tournament in the Wisconsin Dells, Wis., over break. The Eagles will open the tournament with a 7-0 Carroll University team and will then take on #1 and defending national runner-up Augustana College (Ill.). The Eagles will play Carroll at 8 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 29 and Augustana at 5 pm on Dec. 30 from the Just A Game Fieldhouse.
Edgewood College will provide a live broadcast and live stats for Tuesday's matchup at the Edgedome. The Eagles have three wins and nearly had a fourth last season during an overtime loss in Stevens Point in the all-time series against the Pointers. UW-Stevens Point leads the series 22-3 while the Eagles will be meeting Carroll University and Augustana College for the first time in history.
