MEQUON, Wis. – Players graduate, the names on the roster change, but for the last seven years one thing has remained the same for the Edgewood College women's tennis team: championships. The Eagles completed their third straight undefeated NACC season and won their seventh consecutive NACC crown with a pair of 6-3 victories over Concordia University Wisconsin and Alverno College on Sunday.

Edgewood College (10-3, 10-0 NACC) clinched the title in the morning match against Concordia University Wisconsin (9-2, 9-1 NACC), but the Falcons didn't make it easy. CUW took a 2-1 lead after the doubles portion of the dual match. Only Anna Miles and Morgan Wilson claimed a win at No. 1 doubles with an 8-1 victory over Elizabeth Carroll and Sabine Jacobsen.

However, the Eagles flexed their muscles in the singles matches, winning five of six flights to secure the conference title. Molly Protz pulled out a narrow 6-0, 1-6, 10-2 victory at No. 4 singles, defeating Jacobsen. Laura Olsen won at No. 3 singles, defeating CUW's Emily McCormick 6-4, 6-2.

In the afternoon match, the Eagles rolled through Alverno College (9-7, 5-5 NACC) in doubles play sweeping all three matches. Olsen and Sabrina Fuller swept the Inferno's Zoe Yee and Libby Kent 8-0 at No. 2 doubles. The Inferno battled back to split the singles matches, but Miles, Olsen and Fuller won their matches to secure the Eagles' third consecutive undefeated conference season. Edgewood College has now won 42 consecutive NACC dual matches dating back to September 10, 2011.

With Sunday's matches, Edgewood College concluded the fall portion of their schedule. The Eagles will return to action in the spring and will be the top seed for the NACC Tournament in May. The NACC Tournament champion earns the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
