DUBUQUE, Iowa - Edgewood College will enter the 2011 postseason with a victory, following the Eagles 9-0 shutout of Loras College in their regular season finale. Several Eagles also moved closer to personal milestones on the day. In the first match of the triangular, Augustana College (Ill.), ranked 17th in the Central Region, defeated the Eagles 8-1.

Shae Beckwith won her 21st match of the season, tying a 20-year old school record for singles matches won in a season. Beckwith defeated Carley Villano of Loras 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles to improve to 21-9 on the season, matching the win total of Kari Beisenstein set in the 1991 season.

Brittany Storhoff teamed with doubles partner
Ali Diamond-Tumbush to defeat Sarah Alt and Emily Morrison 8-1 at No. 3 doubles. The victory gave Storhoff the 67th doubles victory of her career, moving her within one of former teammate
Kelsey Steinhorst's (2006-10) school record of 68 doubles wins.
Jessi Ditzler and
Amber Hemp won both of their doubles matches on the day, giving the Eagles their only win against Augustana College with an 8-1 win over Tricia Sapio and Sheri Hendricks at No. 2 doubles. Those two wins gave each of them 28 doubles victories this season, which broke the single season doubles record last month. As a pair, Ditzler and Hemp are 24-2 this season, and each of them have four additional wins with other partners.

Hannah Pincsak continues her quest to join Steinhorst (58 victories, 2006-10) and Beisenstein (50 victories, 1989-92) and become the third player in school history to win 50 career singles matches. Pincsak won her 47th career match defeating the Duhawks' Ale Ruales 6-0, 6-0.
Edgewood College wraps up the regular season with a 15-11 record and enters the first ever
Northern Athletics Conference Team Tournament as the top seed. The Eagles earned a bye into the semifinals which will take place on Friday at the Sports Core in Kohler, Wisconsin. If the Eagles win the tournament, they will clinch an automatic bid to their third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
