APPLETON, Wis. – The Edgewood College men's soccer had an opportunity to bounce back on the road after their tough overtime loss their last time out. However, Lawrence University came out ready to play and put up four first half goals en route to a 4-2 victory.

The Vikings (4-2) did not wait long to light up the scoreboard, scoring in just the sixth minute. Karl Mayer took a pass from Stephen Exarhos and deposited the ball in the back of the net to give the lead to the Vikings. Only six minutes later, Lawrence struck again. This time it was Jared Padway who scored a goal, with assists going to Bennett Pang and Andrew King.

Lawrence extended their lead when they tallied two goals in three minutes in the middle of the first half. The first goal came from Paul Senner in the 25th minute and Pang netted his second goal of the season just two minutes later to push the lead to four goals.

Greg Dezell tried to spark an Eagle comeback in the second half, netting his third goal of the season in the 57th minute. Dezell took a pass from Nate Hedrington and ripped a shot past the Viking goalkeeper to get the Eagles (1-4) on the board. Hedrington then scored his third goal of the season just 11 minutes later to cut the deficit to two. He received a pass from Woody Burns and rifled a shot into the upper right corner of the net.

However, it was not enough as the Vikings held on for the 4-2 victory.

For the Eagles, Robert Huss recorded five saves in the loss, including four saves in the second half.
