Top seeded Eagles primed for NAC Baseball Tournament

Glenn Nowell

Edgewood College will enter their first NAC Tournament since 2007 as the NAC co-champion and the bracket's top seed. The Eagles will open with Aurora University who they last faced in the NAC season opener on April 5. Depending on the outcome of the first round the Eagles will play Rockford College or Concordia University Wisconsin next.

Edgewood College will be broadcasting every game of the NAC Tournament live on EdgewoodCollegeEagles.com. Visit the tournament website at EdgewoodCollegeEagles.com/nacbaseball. Rockford Riverhawks broadcaster Bill Cjaza will call all the action.

Edgewood College is 8-10 all-time against Rockford College, but the two team have never met in a postseason game. The two teams split earlier this season at Rockford.

The Eagles swept the Falcons at home 6-5 and 17-2 two weeks ago, but the Concordia Wis. holds a 25-22 lead all-time. The two teams last played a postseason game against each other in 2004, a 5-4 Falcon win.

The Eagles' series with Aurora is as tight as any with Edgewood College holding a 5-4 lead. They have split their last three doubleheaders, including a pair of games at Aurora in the NAC opener this season.
