Eagles shoot to stay perfect in conference play

Jake Guziewski and Cashton Craig
The Edgewood College men's basketball team had to do extra duty last week, but escaped with two victories to open their Northern Athletics Conference schedule. The Eagles will host longtime rival Lakeland College at the Edgedome, before meeting the NAC's other Eagles, Benedictine University, on Saturday in Illinois.

Edgewood College will provide both live stats and live video on Wednesday, with Kyle Jacob and Tyler Dahmen on the call. Benedictine will also be videocasting the game on Saturday from the Rice Center. All the links can be found on EdgewoodCollegeEagles.com.

The Eagles own a 29-17 series lead over Lakeland College, but dropped both contests last season. The Muskies scored a 68-66 win in Sheboygan and a 69-55 victory on the return trip to Madison. The Eagles won all three meetings in 2008-09.

Edgewood College has won six of nine games against Benedictine, but the two teams have split their last four contests. Last year, Edgewood College won 79-66 in a game played at Elmhurst College while Benedictine's gym was being renovated.
