Duhawks top Eagles in spring opening dual match

NAPLES, Fla. - The Edgewood College men's golf team kicked off the spring portion of their schedule with a dual match against Loras College at the Hammock Bay Country Club. The Eagles fired a 317, but couldn't match Loras College's 303 on the 6,912 yard par 72 course.

Andrew Gutzman and Aaron Gavin led the way for the Eagles, firing matching 77's. Mark Fields carded an 81, followed by Mike Battista's score of 82. Ty Robinson rounded out the squad, shooting an 87.

The Eagles will return north before playing their next event, the Prairie Fire Invitational, hosted by Knox College in Galesburg, Ill. on March 27-28.
