MEQUON, Wis. - The table was set for the Edgewood College men's soccer team to establish a pair of milestones in their Northern Athletics Tournament semifinal match against MSOE. The Eagles could avert their fourth straight semifinal disappointment and give head coach Tim Alexander a milestone win. However, the Raiders had plans of their own and overcame a halftime deficit to claim a 2-1 victory.

After a tight first half, Edgewood College (12-5-3) got on the board just one minute before intermission. Freshman Paul Domann pounced a loose ball that was mishandled by Raider goalkeeper Alex Mejac and poked it into the net for a 1-0 lead. It was Domann's fourth goal of the season, making him the highest scoring freshman on the team this season.

MSOE (13-5-2) turned up the pressure in the second half and it paid off with the equalizer in the 69th minute. Josh Payne crossed the ball and found Joe Westrich who scored past Eagle goalkeeper Shane Sullivan. Sullivan would finish the match with eight saves, including five in the second half.

It wasn't until the final five minutes that the Raiders broke the tie. Pat Kelly scored on a shot from the top of the box to put the Eagles hopes on thin ice with 4:31 left to play. The Eagles were unable to generate a shot in the final minutes.

The defeat marked the fourth straight year the Eagles have ended the season in the NAC Tournament semifinals. Edgewood College was defeated by Dominican in 2008 and lost on penalty kick shootouts in both 2007 to Aurora and 2006 to Dominican.

The Raiders' win denied Alexander his 200th career men's soccer victory. He is on the verge of becoming the fifth coach in NCAA history (all divisions) to win both 200 men's soccer games and 200 women's soccer games. He will carry a career men's soccer record of 199-161-29 into next season's opening match.

Jerrid Dokey finished a spectacular career as one of only seven Eagles with at least 30 goals. His 72 points (30 goals, 12 assists) places him seventh on the all-time scoring list. Andriy Apetrey will graduate with 24 goals and 16 assists placing him ninth all-time with 64 points. Tyler Duellman, Anthony Colletti, Matt Melotte and Nick Lombardino also finished their careers as Eagles on Wednesday.
