Box Score

BELOIT, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's tennis team had to wait through a rain and lightning delay of more than an hour, and ultimately finished the match in near darkness, but the wait was well worth it. The Eagles edged the previously unbeaten Beloit College Buccaneers 5-4 in a non-conference match.

Junior Hannah Pincsak was a double winner on the day, claiming her No. 3 singles match 6-0, 6-4 over Julia Win. Earlier, she had paired with freshman Lizzie Starck in an 8-6 victory over Hannah Perwin and Erika Zevin of Beloit College (3-1).

Freshmen Jenny Pietkauskis and Erica Troia also won their singles matches with Pietkauskis sweating out a 3-6, 6-2, 10-7 decision to Laura Grogan. Bridget Prendergast and Kelsey Steinhorst also won their match at No.2 doubles.

Edgewood College (2-2) will be back in action against UW-Stout on Friday at McKee Farms Park in Fitchburg. First matches begin at 3:30 p.m.
