MADISON, Wis. - Wet, unplayable conditions led to the cancellation of the second round of the Edgewood College Classic, allowing UW-Stout to claim the team title after 18 holes of play. The Blue Devils shot an 11-over par 295 to slide past the host Edgewood College team by four strokes.

Freshman Glen Nowell led the Eagles with a one-over par 72 to force a three-way tie for low score of the tournament. Rockford College's Andrew Insko earned the medalist honors over Nowell and UW-Stout's Paul Speltz based on lowest score over the final nine holes of the tournament.

Fellow freshman Mike Battista shot a 74 to finish two shots behind the leaders. Aaron Gavin fired a 76 to place among the top 12, while Logan Kranz finished one shot behind Gavin with a 77. Mark Fields rounded out the squad with an 80.

The Eagles also had two other groups in the field. The ninth place "black" team was led by Andrew Gutzman who shot a 77 to finish in a tie for 16th place. Ty Robinson was one stroke behind him with a 78. The "white" team, which finished 14th, was led by Ryan Gannon and Brad Hagen who shot an 82.

Following UW-Stout and Edgewood College was Benedictine University (311), Webster University (313) and MSOE (315) to round out the top five.
