SHEBOYGAN FALLS & SAUKVILLE, Wis. – The Edgewood University men's golf team competed at the Legends Classic, hosted by Bryant & Stratton on Thursday and Friday. The Eagles carded a two-day total of 649 to finish in seventh place of nine teams. The tournament opened at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms and finished on Friday at The Bog in Saukville. The Eagles carded a 323 on day one, closing out the tournament with a 326 on Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Drew Gunderson carded a 157 (+13) to lead the Eagles and finish in a tie for eighth place. The freshman's best score of the tournament came in round one, a 76.
- Raymond Jordan finished in a tie for 12th place with a 36-hole score of 160 (+16). Jordan carded a 78 on Thursday and finished with an 82 on Friday.
- Brooks Luttinen carded the Eagles best round of Friday, a 76 to move up 17 spots and finish in 16th place. Luttinen carded a 161 total.
- Isaac Hill and Noah Frederickson rounded out the Eagles scoring lineup with two-day totals of 174 and 175, respectively.
- Josh Potter competed as an individual, finishing in a tie for 31st place with a total score of 167.
THE MEET
- St. Norbert College took home the team title with a 631. Madison College finished runner up, carding a 633.
- Marquez Angelez of host Bryant & Stratton claimed medalist honors with a five-over par 149. Angelez carded a 74 on Thursday, followed by a 75 on Friday.
UP NEXT
- Edgewood University will host the Edgewood University Spring Quadrangular on Friday, May 1. Action will take place from Bishops Bay Country Club in Middleton, Wis.
