MUNDELEIN, Ill. – The Edgewood University men's golf team competed at the Forester Spring Invite on Friday and Saturday. The Eagles carded a team score of 625 to finish in 18th place of 19 teams. Isaac Hill led the Eagles with a career-best 36-hole score.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hill led the Eagles, carding a career-best 155 to finish in a tie for 66th place. Hill opened the tournament with a 76 on Friday that featured 12 pars and a birdie. The closed out the tournament with a 79 that featured a birdie on both the first and second nine.
- Drew Gunderson finished in a tie for 69th place with a 156. Gunderson's best came on Friday, a 77 that featured two birdies.
- Raymond Jordan and Brooks Luttinen tied for 74th place, both carding a 157. Jordan posted rounds of 78 and 79, while Luttinen carded a 76 with three birdies on Friday.
- Peter Haideman finished with a 36-hole score of 163 to finish in a tie for 90th place. Haideman totaled three birdies across the tournament.
THE MEET
- Aurora University claimed the team title with a six-under par 570. The Spartans shot a 286 on Friday, followed by a 284 on Saturday.
- Christian Wakeford claimed medalist honors with a six-under par 138. Wakeford carded a 70 on Friday and improved by two strokes to a 68 on Saturday.
UP NEXT
- Edgewood University will compete at the Legends Classic, hosted by Bryant & Stratton College on Thursday, April 23 and Friday, April 24. Thursday's action will take place at The Bull in Sheboygan Falls, while Friday action will be at The Bog in Saukville, Wis.
