Box Score MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Women's Tennis kicked off their stay in Minnesota Friday. They took on the Macalester Scots in a nailbiter. The match came down to the last singles slot, but the Scots (1-2) fended off an Eagles (11-4) rally in a 4-3 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood University controlled doubles.
Lauryn Krober and
Sophia Perret won 6-3 in the second slot, while
Christina Ekkela and
Kaitlyn Narkis claimed a 6-4 final in third billing.

Hattie Plenty and
Evelyn Taylor dropped a 6-4 result in no. 1 doubles.
- Macalester found momentum in singles action. Taylor conceded a 6-2, 6-2 final in no. 1 singles, while Plenty fell 6-3, 6-0 in the second slot.
- Perret dropped a 6-1, 6-4 final, but Ekkela blunted the Scots momentum with a 6-3, 6-0 final in the fifth slot.
- Krober kept the Eagles alive with a 6-2, 6-3 final no. 6 singles to keep the Eagles alive. Narkis battled valiantly, forcing a tiebreaker set in the fourth slot with the match on the line. She fell 6-2, 5-7, 1-0 (10-5) as Macalester claimed victory.
