Eagles Track & Field Preview

The Edgewood University track & field squads hit the road for their 2026, their first season under head coach Andy Knapp. This year's squad looks to build off of last year's successes, including an All-American in discus.
 

“I am looking forward to the start of our season,” said Knapp. “We have a small group with a lot of potential and a couple of athletes in Kylee Doherty and Ayden Price with aspirations of qualifying for the national championship.”

2026 Track & Field Schedule

The Eagles kick off the bulk of their slate at the Red Hawk Opener at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. They will continue their trek through the indoor season with the Lake Michigan Open on Saturday, January 31 and the Spartans Shootout on Saturday, February 7. They will return to Ripon for the last three events of their winter slate, starting things off at the Dick Hendricks Invite on Saturday, February 14. The NACC Indoor Championships await on Friday, February 27 before the Ripon Final Qualifier wraps up the indoor slate starting on Friday, March 6

In the outdoor season, the squads will head to Wauwatosa, Wis. for the NACC Outdoor Championships starting on Friday, May 1.

By the Numbers

1 - Doherty returns after earning her second-straight All-American accolade in the discus. She also won the NACC in discus with a 43.96 and placed third in the javelin for another All-NACC honor.

9.09.36 - Mueller won the 3000 meter in the Ripon Winter Open, his time also good for seventh on the program honor roll.

1.75 - Price set a school record with a 1.75 in the high jump at the Ripon Winter Open. He also ran a 21.72 time at the 200 meter at the NACC Championships this past spring.

10 - The Eagles field 10 student-athletes this track and field season.
