DUBUQUE, IOWA – Women's Volleyball continued their road trip Saturday as they returned to nonconference action. They took on the Loras Duhawks and the UW-La Crosse Eagles in a tri-match. Edgewood University (9-4) broke out the brooms against the Duhawks (4-10) in 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-19) fashion. They struggled against UW-La Crosse (13-6), conceding a 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-16) final.
MATCH ONE: EDGEWOOD UNIVERSITY 3, LORAS 0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-19)
- The two avian squads battled it out in the opening serves, but Edgewood University took control of the set with six unanswered points to fuel a 16-9 advantage. While the Duhawks would close within three with four-straight points of their own, Edgewood University all but put the set out of reach with an 8-2 burst.
- Edgewood University seemed poised to run away with the second frame as well. After sitting in an 8-8 tie, Edgewood University rattled off an 8-1 sprint for a 16-9 advantage. Loras would not take it lying down, mounting a furious comeback with a 9-2 run to draw back to even at 18 points. Edgewood University's defense stepped up late, pushing the visitors to a 2-0 match lead off a late 5-2 run.
- Edgewood University kept momentum rolling into the third frame, flying out to a 7-3 tally. The Duhawks closed within one off of four unanswered in the middle of the set, but a 7-3 run from the visitors pushed them ahead 22-18 late. Two kills and an ace would finish off the set and match.
- Edgewood University outhit Loras .231-to-.112.
- Four Edgewood University hitters posted nine or more kills.
Katie Borchert led the way with 11 kills while also contributing nine digs and two aces.

MATCH TWO: UW-LA CROSSE 3, EDGEWOOD UNIVERSITY 0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-17)
- The two Eagles wrestled for control of the first set early, a 9-7 UW-La Crosse lead turning into a 12-10 Edgewood University advantage off of a 5-1 burst. UW-La Crosse closed out the first set strong with an 8-3 rally.
- UW-La Crosse rolled into the second set, a 4-1 stretch pushing them ahead 12-6. UW-La Crosse kept Edgewood University at arm's length throughout the frame. While a late 4-1 rally pulled Edgewood University within two, a kill would push UW-La Crosse ahead 2-0 in the match.
- After exchanging 5-0 punches to kick off the third set, UW-La Crosse put themselves in control of the set with a 6-1 burst. UW-La Crosse outhit Edgewood University .223-to-.000 in the third frame on route to a sweep.
- UW-La Crosse finished the match with a .223-to-.152 edge in hitting percentage and a 46-to-32 gap in kills.
- Kayle Sexton tallied a 16-kill, 11-dig double-double, hitting .361 on 36 attempts.
- Megan Lund had a strong showing as UW-La Crosse's setter with a 20-assist, 15-dig double-double and a pair of aces.
- Hinkamper anchored the Edgewood University defense with 22 digs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Millin's 10 kills, Amendt's nine kills, and Murphy's nine kills against Loras were all personal bests.
- Hinkamper's 22 digs versus the Duhawks and UW-La Crosse were both a season high.
