KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Edgewood University men's basketball team was honored for their academic achievements by the National Association of Basketball Coaches on Thursday. The Eagles had six players earn NABC Honors Court recognition, while also claiming a team honor with the Team Academic Excellence Award.
NABC Honors Court recognizes players who are academically a junior, senior, or graduate student varsity player with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. The Eagles six players to receive NABC Honors Court were: Connor Coombs, Danny Mulcare, Hunter Hardyman, Payton Bowser, Trae Kreibich, and Trey Traeder.
In addition to the Honors Court, the Eagles earned another NABC Team Academic Excellence Award. The team award recognizes programs across all divisions with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The Eagles finished the 2024-25 academic year with an impressive 3.49 team GPA. The men's basketball team has earned this award each of the last seven seasons.
