DE PERE, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's track & field team competed at the NACC Outdoor Championships on Friday and Saturday. Kylee Doherty highlighted the Eagles with a victory in the discus throw and third-place finish in the javelin throw.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Doherty opened the weekend with a victory in the discus throw. The junior posted a distance of 43.96 meters to earn the victory. Keilley Riddle was next in line for the Eagles in the discus, recording a mark of 35.01 meters to finish 10th. Kayla Miotk (31.32m) and Allison Foley (13.28m) also competed for the Eagles.
- Doherty added another All-NACC honor to her collection, this time in the javelin throw. Doherty posted a mark of 35.32 meters to place third in the event. Riddle added a distance of 26.86 meters to place 11th in the event.
- Maya Thompson placed sixth for the Eagles in the 3000 meter steeplechase. Thompson came across the finish line in 12:36.87, a personal-best mark.
- Jordan Lawson posted a qualifying mark in the 100-meter dash prelims on Friday. Lawson's time of 12.95 was a personal-best mark, as she finished eighth in the preliminary round. Lawson followed her Friday performance with a 12.79 PR in the final.
- Kayla Kerkman represented the Eagles in the long jump on Saturday. Kerkman posted a mark of 4.98 meters to finish ninth.
- Doherty rounded out her NACC Championships with a fourth-place finish in the shot put. Doherty recorded a mark of 12.21 meters on Saturday. Miotk finished eighth in the event with a mark of 10.90 meters. Riddle (7.93m) and Foley (7.44m) also competed in the event.
