WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's track & field team competed at the Drake Alternative Meet hosted by UW-Whitewater on Thursday. Kylee Doherty posted a school record and winning mark in the Javelin throw for the Eagles. A total of seven PR marks were set by Edgewood College on Thursday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kylee Doherty can't be stopped when it comes to the Javelin throw. The junior continues to set the highwater mark for Eagles throws. Doherty's mark of 43.72 meters was good for the event win, personal record, and school record. Keilley Riddle also competed in the event, recording a PR mark of 28.50 meters.
- Doherty added a seventh-place finish in the Shot Put. Doherty's mark of 12.23 meters is the second longest in program history. Kayla Miotk (10.86m), Riddle (8.48m), and Allison Foley (7.50m) also competed in the event.
- Riddle led the Eagles in the Discus on Thursday. Riddle's mark of 35.33 meters was good for 17th place. Doherty (33.16m), Miotk (27.93m), and Foley (14.22m) also competed in the event.
- Jordan Lawson was a highlight reel for Eagles sprints on Thursday. Lawson posted a 12th place finish in the 100-meter dash prelims with a PR time of 13.11. Lawson's time is 10th fastest in program history. Emma Miller added a PR time in the event, crossing the finish line in 13.68. Stephanie Resendiz added a mark of 13.69 to round out the Eagles in the event.
- Lawson added a PR time of 26.79 in the 200-meter dash. The sophomore's time is second fastest in school history.
- Lauren Mesa competed in the 400-meter dash for the first time. Her time of 1:06.91 was good for 11th place.
- Maya Thompson posted a personal-record time of 2:39.17 in the 800-meter run. Thompson's time was good for 17th place in the event.
- Isabella Pescador posted a PR time of 1:19.05 in the 400-meter hurdles. Pescador added a time of 18.71 in the 100-meter hurdles prelims.
- Kayla Kerkman posted a distance of 4.57 meters in the long jump on Thursday. Kerkman finished in 14th place in the event.
- The 4x100 meter relay team of Jordan Lawson, Ella Arenz, Emily Austin, and Kayla Kerkman finished seventh with a time of 52.70.

- Edgewood College will compete at the NACC Outdoor Championships on Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3. The two-day meet will take place from Donald J. Schneider Stadium in De Pere, Wisconsin.
