Doherty posts School Record at UW-Platteville Invitational

PLATTEVILLE, Wis.Kylee Doherty continued to write her name into the Edgewood College women's track & field record books on Saturday. The Eagles competed at the UW-Platteville Invitational, led by Doherty, who set the school record in the Javelin Throw. Five Eagles added personal-record times on Saturday.  

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Doherty led the Eagles in the Javelin Throw on Saturday. The junior posted a personal-best and school-record distance of 41.79 meters to place second in the event. Keilley Riddle also represented the Eagles in the Javelin, posting a distance of 28.06 meters.

- Doherty finished eighth in the Discus Throw. Her mark of 39.54 meters was good for a top-10 finish. Riddle (33.63 meters), Kayla Miotk (28.66 meters) and Allison Foley (14.19 meters) also competed in the event.

- Doherty rounded out her day in the Shot Put. Her distance of 12.00 meters goes down as the sixth longest distance in outdoor school history and good for 12th in the event. Miotk (10.88 meters), Riddle (8.69 meters), and Foley (7.74 meters) also competed in the event.

- Three Eagles recorded personal-best finishes in the 100-meter dash prelims on Saturday. Jordan Lawson led the way for the Eagles, finishing the event in 13.42. Stephanie Resendiz posted the first PR time in the event, a 13.43, good for 10th on the Eagles honor roll list. Lauren Mesa (13.55) came across the line in PR time. Emma Miller rounded out the Eagles personal-record finishes with a 13.78. Kayla Kerkman rounded out the Eagles pack with a time of 14.05.

- Resendiz continued a strong day with a personal-record time of 28.00 in the 200-meter dash. Mesa (29.15), Lawson (29.24), Miller (29.42), and Kerkman (30.48) also competed in the event.

- Lawson competed in the 400-meter dash for the first time as an Eagle. The sophomore finished in 1:08.74.

- Ella Arenz represented the Eagles in the 800-meter run. The freshman came across the finish line in 2:42.09.

- Maya Thompson finished 23rd in the 1,500-meter run on Saturday with a time of 5:32.03.

- Isabella Pescador competed in the 100-meter hurdles prelims and 400-meter hurdles on Saturday. Pescador posted a PR time of 1:21.13 in the 400-meter hurdles. She added a time of 18.91 in the 100-meter hurdles prelims.

- Kerkman added distance of 4.53 meters in the Long Jump on Saturday.

- The team of Kerkman, Lawson, Miller and Resendiz competed in the 4x100-meter relay. The Eagles posted a 10th place finish with a time of 53.71.

- Edgewood College will compete at the Green & White Invite on Thursday, April 17. Action is set for 10:00 a.m. from Wauwatosa, Wis.
